illustration friday: flight

This week's topic was flight. I thought of kites or balloons or birds, but settled on a soaring heart. I like paintings of things with wings that don't normally have wings. This one is done up in acrylic on cheap ass canvas board. The haiku will follow later due to the mad rush to get MY cheap ass to Seattle!

YEE-HAW!!

Wanna have your spirits lifted?

I finished my haiku!

You should sell some of your projects to make some traveling money. I know I would pay a pretty penny for Bunnies in Space.

Cha-ching!

The painting is sorta Frida Kahlo-esque, don't you agree?

Oops, that was me, leaving the Frida Kahlo comment, and I entered too soon. If you aren't familiar with her work, you oughta be. This painting particularly reminds me of the Henry Ford Hospital painting...I believe that's the name of the one I'm thinking of.
